Hurricane Dorian, which hit the Bahamas in early September has caused extensive destruction and devastation. As many as 13,000 houses may have been destroyed or damaged leaving people without shelter.

UNICEF, the National Emergency Coordination Agency, UN agencies and other partners are providing humanitarian aid to affected children and families, with a special focus on water, sanitation and hygiene.  The Masonic Charitable Foundation is in direct contact with UNICEF and has already committed £20,000 towards the relief effort and has established the ‘Hurricane Dorian Appeal’ Relief Chest to facilitate further donations from the Craft.
